OutEMReach was first piloted in July 2025 and since then, it has been serving at different medical outreaches to improve the management of patient records.

OutEMReach Launched
The question was this: BMLSIA wants to organize a medical outreach and test people, how to go about it in an innovative way? The answer was simple, get rid of paper! The BMLSIA Fellows at the first cohort gave the idea a suitable name - OutEMReach (pronounced /Out-E-M-Reach/), learned how the pitch deck was created, and the development started.
Free Medical Outreach by NIMELSSA LAUTECH
OutEMReach was first piloted at the Roadwalk/Free Medical Outreach by NIMELSSA, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology chapter. OutEMReach was tested live and issues were fixed during the outreach. Over 90 people were attended to. Magdalene Jackson and Olamilekan Odusanya were the representatives of BMLSIA on that day.

Clinton Nduka, a fellow from BMLSIA represented us and helped secure partnership with NIMELSSA, at the University of Lagos chapter. They were able to attend to over 95 people and have their records digitized with OutEMReach.

Know Your Health, Medical Outreach by BMLSIA
After testing OutEMReach at two different medical outreaches, it was time to host our own medical outreach. We planned for 100 people and attended to 109+ people at the end. This time, the patients could download a PDF of their whole data from the medical outreach, on OutEMReach.

Pioneer Medical Outreach at NMBC, Bodija
At the Youth Convention by New Manna Baptist Church (NMBC) on October 4, BMLSIA partnered to attend to the patients, as well as to digitize their medical records. We attended to 38 people in total, with about 8 volunteers.
Fighting the Unseen, Health Outreach by NIMELSSA Southwest
BMLSIA partnered with NIMELSSA Southwest to digitize the medical records of 101 patients in barely 2 hours, as part of the programs at the NIMELSSA Southwest Regional Convention.
Medical Outreach by Jaja, Jericho
OutEMReach also digitized the records of 50+ patients on October 18, 2025. The outreach was organized by the University Health Service (Jaja Clinic).
Health Day at Babcock University
BMLSIA, in partnership with BUAMS (Babcock University Association of Medical Students) organized a smart medical outreach, attending to 136 patients in total, highest so far, at a medical outreach!
